The Arc of San Diego Receives Donation from The Knights of Columbus
We are deeply grateful to The Knights of Columbus Council #13124 at St. Therese of Carmel Parish for their generous donation of $2,405 from their annual Tootsie Roll Drive.
The Knights of Columbus and volunteers raised the funds during their annual “Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities.” This campaign is also known as “Tootsie Roll Drive,” because donors are provided with a Tootsie Roll when they participate in the event.
With more than 16,000 councils in Catholic parishes throughout the world, The Knights of Columbus have contributed $200 million to charitable organizations worldwide, and members donate over 100 million hours of service every year.
The funds raised by The Knights of Columbus Council help us provide essential life services such as day programs, employment, and residential living services to more than 2,000 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome in San Diego County.
Thank you to the Knights of Columbus and the parishioners of St. Therese of Carmel Parish for supporting our mission to help individuals with disabilities live their most fulfilling lives!
