The Arc of San Diego is proud to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) this October. This annual observance, led by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, honors the vital contributions of workers with disabilities and highlights the importance of inclusive employment practices across the nation.

The 2025 NDEAM theme, “Advancing Access and Equity”, emphasizes the ongoing need to remove barriers and create opportunities that empower individuals with disabilities to thrive in the workplace. At The Arc of San Diego, we believe that equal employment is a cornerstone of independence, dignity, and community inclusion.

Through our Employment Services program, The Arc of San Diego supports more than 350 individuals each year in achieving their career goals. We provide personalized job training, placement assistance, and ongoing support to help individuals with disabilities succeed in a wide range of industries throughout San Diego County. These services are designed to foster confidence, build skills, and promote long-term success in the workforce.
