For more than 20 years, The Arc of San Diego has proudly partnered with the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) to provide bus detailing services that keep vehicles clean, safe, and ready to serve passengers and operators across the region. This long‑standing collaboration has opened doors for individuals with disabilities to thrive in meaningful, community‑based employment; proving that inclusive workplaces strengthen everyone.

We are thrilled to share that this partnership has reached an exciting milestone with the successful extension of our MTS contract through at least 2031. This renewal allows The Arc of San Diego to continue delivering high‑quality bus detailing services at the Downtown and Kearny Mesa facilities while securing stable, meaningful employment for 12 individuals with disabilities, supported by four dedicated Job Coaches. These roles provide consistency, growth, and dignity through work and underscore the value our crews bring to MTS and the greater San Diego community every day.

The impact of this work has been especially evident during critical moments, including the COVID‑19 pandemic, when sanitation and safety became essential to public health. Through it all, our crews showed up with professionalism, care, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

This milestone would not be possible without the hard work, leadership, and heart of our clients and Job Coaches, the foundation of this partnership and the reason it continues to thrive year after year.
