National Autism Awareness Month is observed each April to bring attention to autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and to highlight the strengths, abilities, and contributions of people on the spectrum. The proclamation encourages the community to support acceptance and opportunities for individuals with autism.

Staff, clients, and family members of The Arc of San Diego were present to be recognized as leaders in the community. We thankful to the Imperial Beach City Council for acknowledging this important month and for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
