Life-Changing Summer

Bryce needs YOU for a life-changing summer!

For two weeks this summer, The Arc of San Diego's Camp-A-Lot/Camp-A-Little is once again a place of incredible opportunities and experiences for children and adults of all abilities, including newcomer Bryce. A bright twelve year-old boy who lives in Ramona with his mother and two dogs, Bryce is a talented artist who enjoys Nickelodeon shows from the 90s and LOVES to swim. He has never been to sleep-away camp before, but he has been talking about it since he was nine years old. This summer, he eagerly awaits what's to come!

It was not easy for Eris, Bryce's mother, to identify a camp suitable for Bryce's needs through the years... Bryce handles more than the average twelve year-old and lives with autism, hypotonia, and severe anxiety. "I was emailing people in Oregon! I just wanted to make sure he had a successful first trip because he thought about it so long and hard."

When Eris discovered Camp-A-Lot/Camp-A-Little in their own backyard, she knew she had found the perfect environment for Bryce to thrive.

"I want Bryce to be able to gain more independence, enjoy himself with friends his own age, and even try out new activities he's never tried before!"

As a single mother supporting a son with a disability, Eris understands the difficulties facing many families with children who want the opportunity to share in the same magic as their peers.
