Since 1992, the Arc San Diego Foundation has worked in partnership with The Arc of San Diego to support its programs and services for people with disabilities.

Joined by Anthony DeSalis, President & CEO of The Arc of San Diego, and Paul La Bounty, Chairperson of the Arc San Diego Foundation, we recognized our honorees and celebrated all of our supporters for their generosity.

Among those recognized for their contributions was Barbara Borden who was recognized for her outstanding support of The Arc of San Diego. Barbara was honored with 2023 Circle of Light Bronze Award. Barbara has supported our organization and provided generous donations since 2011. She has also helped with funding for building improvements and our Vans for Good campaign, to ensure that we have new vehicles to transport clients in our program

Michael and Kathy Brault were also presented with the 2023 Circle of Light Bronze Award. They have been supporting The Arc of San Diego since 2010. They have assisted with special events at The Sol and Ruth Gerber Family Center and are generous donors to all of The Arc’s fundraising events.

We presented the 2023 Silver Award to The David C. Copley Foundation. In 2018, The David C. Copley Foundation provided The Arc of San Diego with a $225,000 matching grant for the capital campaign for The Sol and Ruth Gerber Family Center.

We also were proud to recognize the Honorable Greg and Honorable Cheryl Cox with the 2023 Circle of Light Silver Award for supporting The Arc of San Diego for the past 15 years. Greg and Cheryl provided funding and equipment for the renovation of Sulpizio Family Center and The Sol and Ruth Gerber Family Center. In addition, they have personally supported our capital campaign, Vans for Good campaign, and have made gifts to benefit our life skills training, computer lab, and other organizational needs.

We appreciate everyone’s support in contributing to the success of our organization. Thank you to all of our Foundation Circle of Light members and honorees for their unwavering dedication to The Arc of San Diego. Your generosity makes a significant impact on the services we provide for people with disabilities and their families.
