Ed Walton Presented with President's Volunteer Service Award

Edward C. Walton, Esq., a Poway resident, was presented with the President’s Volunteer Service Award from The Arc of San Diego, one of the county’s largest non-profits serving people with disabilities, at their Annual Meeting in June 2024. He was recognized for his outstanding commitment to supporting The Arc of San Diego’s mission to support and empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their life goals.

Walton became a member of the Arc San Diego Foundation Board of Directors in 1998 and has been an active member for the past 26 years. The Arc San Diego Foundation is a non-profit established in 1992 to support the programs and services for people with disabilities at The Arc of San Diego. Over the course of two decades, Walton has held many leadership roles on the Arc San Diego Foundation Board, including Board Chairperson. He was instrumental in obtaining a $1 million gift from Rich and Gaby Sulpizio for the Capital Campaign for the Sulpizio Family Center. Walton and his wife Noreen have generously supported The Arc of San Diego and assisted with contributions from Procopio, where he is employed.

“We greatly value volunteer service at The Arc of San Diego. For over 70 years, dedicated volunteers have served alongside our staff, clients, and families to help build our organization into one of the largest nonprofits in San Diego. We are immensely grateful for Ed Walton’s many years of dedicated service to our organization and are proud to recognize Ed with the President’s Volunteer Service Award,” Anthony J. DeSalis, Esq., President & CEO of The Arc of San Diego.

Thank you for your dedication, Ed. We wouldn't be where we are today without lifelong volunteers like you!
