The Arc of San Diego Capital Campaigns
North County Building for Community Capital Campaign
We relocated the North County Training Center from Vista to its new location in San Marcos in
Spring 2011.
Its new 18,000 sq. foot home is also the hub for Arc's Vocational Training Program in North County. Thanks to generous support from our donors, we were able to renovate the Center to accomodate the additional program participants.
Relocating North County Training Center meets the growing demand for programs for people with disabilities in North County. This site offers vital services with room for future expansion in program capacity. By co-locating on the same campus at The Arc's Vocational Training Program, we now provide 160 participants at Arc North County with increased oportunities. Opportunities for a greater variety of program options, more recreational & socialization opportunities, as well as a new outdoor patio area for relaxing, gardening, and other fun activities.
Thanks for your support in making this possible!
Building Toward Self-Sufficiency
The Arc of San Diego completed its Capital Campaign in 2010, and raised over $3 million for the
construction of the Sulpizio Family Center .
The new 16,000 square foot center is a national model and features state-of-the-art facilities for The Arc's Day Programs, which provide essential life skills and vocational training to people with disabilities. The building includes a community room, computer lab, sensory room, animal & nature room, fitness & recreation room, multi-media room, spa room, and an arts & crafts room.
The Center also serves as The Arc's new corporate headquarters, housing all countywide operations, and contributes significantly to the revitalization of the neighborhood.
Thank you to all who contributed to our Capital Campaign and helped us "build toward self-sufficiency." Your impact is greatly felt!
