conversation with Anthony DeSalis, Executive
Vice President and Chief Operations Officer with
The
Arc of San Diego, a non-profit
organization providing comprehensive services for people of all
ages with disabilities. Founded in 1951 with the belief people
with disabilities have unlimited potential and the right to
equality of opportunity, the Arc helps the disabled fulfill
personal goals, live as independently as possible, find work
through their
employment services
program, and serves over 2,500 individuals and families in the
San Diego area.
The Arc of San Diego is
also in the midst of a major
capital campaign to
raise the funds to renovate several facilities in San Diego
County, in particular the
Sulpizio Family Arc Center
