UPCOMING ARC AWARENESS NIGHT FEATURES EXTREME MAKEOVER PROJECT CHULA VISTA, CALIF.
– The Arc of San Diego’s Starlight
Center is holding an Arc Awareness Night on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 1280
Nolan Avenue in Chula Vista. This is an opportunity for The Arc of San Diego to
open their doors to the public and provide information about quality,
comprehensive programs to community members. It is also an opportunity for the
community to see firsthand the incredible changes that several rooms at
Starlight Center underwent during the Channel 10 –My Hometown Extreme Makeover
project. This event will be open to the community from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Refreshments will be provided. This event will feature
tours of the facility, arts & crafts exhibit, a resource fair, and presentations
by local elected officials. The Arc of San Diego’s Starlight Center serves over
300 people with disabilities at this Chula Vista site. Arc directly impacts the lives of more than 2,500 people with disabilities throughout San Diego County.
