THE ARC OF SAN DIEGO CELEBRATES ANNUAL FUNDRAISER AT THE OLD GLOBE

SAN DIEGO, CALIF – The Arc of San Diego is hosting their annual fundraiser Night at The Old Globe & The Prado in Balboa Park on Friday, March 23, 2007. As one of the largest fundraising events of the year for The Arc of San Diego, patrons will be able to enjoy a reception at The Prado and performance of Restoration Comedy.

Pulitzer prize-finalist Amy Freed, author of the hit off-Broadway play, The Beard of Avon, has written a big and bawdy romantic comedy that mines the wit, style and sexual intrigues of the late 17th century. Restoration Comedy examines the push and pull of attraction and fidelity.  It is sure to have audiences laughing in the aisles.

The Arc of San Diego is one of San Diego’s largest human-service agencies. Founded in 1951 by a determined group of people who felt they had to “do something” for children with mental retardation, Arc now serves more than 2,500 children and adults with disabilities throughout San Diego County.
