Thanks so much for your continued support and interest in The Arc of San Diego. Your on-going generosity has meant a great deal to the persons we serve throughout the year. As we approach, the end of our fiscal year, we would like to take time and pause to remember the many blessings provided to us this past year. We stand by our belief that people with disabilities have unlimited potential and the right to equality of opportunity. Since 1951, The Arc of San Diego has been a leader in making a difference in the lives of those with disabilities. Our programs now serve more than 2,500 children and adults with disabilities throughout San Diego County. Today, our organization faces the serious challenge of aging centers that are in great need of being remodeled or replaced. Our operating budget has increased significantly and existing facilities are no longer adequate in design or size to meet the ever-growing need of our consumers. The Arc San Diego Foundation’s board is committed to raising the funds necessary to build new and modern facilities for the people we serve. Your support of $25, $50, $75, $100, $500, $1,000 or more will help us enhance services in response to community need and to continue changing lives of the less fortunate. As we strive to follow our mission of … “The Arc of San Diego empowers persons with disabilities, and their families, by working in partnership to create opportunities to achieve their individual goals within the community”…we invite you to help us continue the work initiated here more than 55 years ago. Although many of Arc’s services are subsidized, charitable contributions are our only source of funds for capital improvements. Clearly, the ability to continue serving people with disabilities is dependent on the financial support we have successfully received from our community in the past. May we count on your charitable gift this year? You have responded generously in the past and shown that you care about persons with disabilities. I know that you will do what you can to help support this challenge.
