The Arc of San Diego's Community Living
Services administers 12 homes
specifically designed to meet the housing
needs of people with developmental
disabilities. Residences are licensed
by the State Department of Health
Services and funded by Medi-Cal and San
Diego Regional Center.
In every home there exists the
opportunity for growth, individual
choice, privacy, dignity, and an enriched
quality of life.
Each home is shared by six residents
who have a wide range of abilities and
needs. As a result of significant
personal challenges including complex
behaviors and multiple disabilities, some
residents may require a high degree of
structure and supervision.
Our program offers a warm and
supportive environment that instills
confidence and responsibility. Home-life
revolves around family activities,
household chores, and interactions in the
neighborhood.
Residents are supported by
professionally trained instructors,
aides, and house managers who provide
round-the-clock care and support. Our
staff assist residents with accessing
community resources, improving
self-awareness, modifying behaviors, and
promoting self-advocacy.
